Basic account security practices on obyava.org

Basic account security practices on obyava.org

    Why account security matters

Your account on the classifieds board gives access to your listings, conversations, and personal data. Following simple rules helps avoid hacking and fraud.

    Strong password

Use a long password (at least 12 characters) with mixed-case letters, numbers, and symbols. Do not reuse the same password across different sites. If remembering is hard, use a password manager.

    Do not share access

Never tell your password or confirmation code to anyone, even if they claim to be support staff. obyava.org staff will never ask for your password. If you need help, use official channels.

    Phishing awareness

Do not click suspicious links in emails or messages that appear to be from the administration. Check the site address in your browser — it should be obyava.org. Do not enter your details on pages that look similar but have a different address.

    Log out on shared devices

If you logged in from someone else's computer or phone, always log out after finishing. Do not save your password in the browser on shared devices.

What to do if you notice suspicious activity

If you see unusual actions (e.g., changes to your listings, unfamiliar messages), change your password immediately. If you have a way to contact support, write to them describing the situation. Check whether your contact details in the profile have been changed.
